Our Services
A Good Call Home Inspection is a full service home inspection company specializing in single and multi family properties. We offer a full compliment of structural and environmental services for home buyers, sellers, and owners. The home can be large or small, new or old, urban or rural, occupied or vacant - we inspect them all. Regardless of the type inspection we conduct you will receive a written report summarizing our findings. A sample report from a typical home inspection is posted for you to review.
Properties are like people in that no two are alike - so too with inspections. We will offer some general guidelines here but really recommend you call us so we can go over your requirements in detail and provide you with a firm quotation for the agreed upon services.
The typical inspection for a home buyer in support of a real estate transaction will consist of a basic structural inspection and may also include the following:
- checking for evidence of wood destroying insects like termites
- air sampling to measure the level of Radon gas
- well water sampling to detect or measure the level of specific contaminants
- well water volumetric flow testing
We recommend a standard inspection for a home with a municipal water supply consist of the structural, termite, and Radon in air. This normally will cost $475.00. For a home with a well water supply we recommend a standard inspection bundle with the addition of the basic water sample test for Coliform and E. Coli and a volumetric well flow test. This normally will cost $575.00. The basic water test is a minimum recommendation. Other water tests are available and in some cases are specified in the purchase contract. Additional testing should also be considered for children, seniors, and people with allergies or asthma. Please keep in mind there may be additional time required.
